CRIMINAL MINDS revolves around an elite team of FBI profilers who analyze the country's most twisted criminal minds, anticipating their next moves before they strike again. Special Agent Jason Gideon (Mandy Patinkin) is the FBI's top behavioral analyst and he joins the Behavioral Analysis Unit lead by Special Agent Aaron Hotchner (Thomas Gibson), a family man who is able to gain people's trust and unlock their secrets. Also on the team are Elle Greenaway (Lola Glaudini), an agent with a background in sexual offenses; Special Agent Derek Morgan (Shemar Moore), an expert on obsessional crimes; Special Agent Dr. Spencer Reid (Matthew Gray Gubler), a classically misunderstood genius whose social IQ is as low as his intellectual IQ is high; and Jennifer "JJ" Jareau, (AJ Cook), a confident young agent who acts as the unit liaison for the team. Each member brings his or her own area of expertise to the table as they pinpoint predators' motivations and identify their emotional triggers in the attempt to stop them.

Summary: Criminal Minds, Season 2
Comment: Criminal Minds-Season 2 depicts intriguing, heart-wrenching stories based on psychological theories of what actually goes on inside the minds of serial criminals. Especially fascinating are the "extras" included on the final disc of the set, particularly clips of an interview with an actual member of the FBI's Behavioural Analysis Unit. For anyone who enjoys action/crime-based television programs, this is a "must-have" to add to your DVD collection.

Summary: Criminal Minds DVDs (shades of "Dexter")
Comment: Great show, great DVDs. You don't have to put up w/ commercials and can watch as many episodes at once as you can handle. This has added to my appreciation of the writing and acting on this show. The actors are not all stereotypes, they are different, they are even fun. Anyone who has not yet seen Criminal Minds and who loves "Dexter" on ShowTime will like this show too. Far better than the usual TV fare.

Comment: It just gets better and better and continues to hold my attention. The characters continue to be strong and to show that this type of job can have the terrifying dangers directed at them also. This job is not for everyone (needless to say) and not everyone stays. It also reflects how it can 'tear' at the people who continue to find these 'monsters'.

Comment: The first season of this show was so good, I did not know how it can get any better, but it did! I love these characters!
The plots get even better in the second season, and you get to know more about the characters. If you like CSI, Law and Order, or House, this is basically a mix of all three. It is investigative, dramatic, and intelligent. You will love it!
