Summary: They got the guns right
Comment: I loved the book POINT OF IMPACT and the character Bob Lee Swagger, so I approached this movie with a certain apprehension. A key component to this story is the guns, and if the guns are messed up then the whole movie fails as a cartoonish mess.
But they got the guns right!
That was one of the things I kept saying to myself as I watched the movie. In the extras I found they went to Front Sight in Nevada for technical assistance. I've been to Front Sight and those folks know their stuff.
Sure there were compromises with the original novel, but that happens in film. What was not compromised is the character Bob Lee Swagger, and to see him come to life on the screen was a big thrill.

Comment: I need to add a positive review for this movie. It was definitely my second favorite movie of 2008 (I liked Saw V better). This movie has a lot of action and explosions in it and kept me wondering until the end. I really like Walberg and he does not disappoint in this movie.

Comment: This was a decent shoot em up flick. I gave it 4 stars because I can still recall the plot-so many are forgetable. Its a bad attitude Bourne type movie and I liked Walberg as lead. If you liked Last Man Standing and Reindeer Games, type of off beat rough; you will probably like this. Not warm-Not fuzzy.

Comment: This is NOT my usual genre, but I got coaxed into watching it and was very impressed with both Mark Wahlberg and the movie. It was a bit more graphic than I am comfortable with, but I closed my eyes a lot. I was enthralled from the opening frames until the end. I highly recommend it!
